Sandy Springs Police Investigate SunTrust Bank Robbery

The bank inside Publix at 6615 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs was robbed Sunday afternoon.

The Sandy Springs Police Department is asking the public to help them identify and track down a suspected bank robber. 

SunTrust Bank inside Publix at 6615 Roswell Road was robbed around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, the agency said in a press release. A man entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. 

The suspect, who did not display or threaten anyone with a weapon, was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late twenties to early thirties, stands between 5'7 and 5'9 tall and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds. He also wore black clothing and a red and black baseball hat with a Chicago Bulls logo on the front.
