Storm Damage Keeps Lake Forrest Drive Closed Through Weekend
Sandy Springs offcials say recent and projected rains have caused concerns regarding rock fall and slope hazards in the area.
Lake Forrest Drive, between Lake Summit and Chevaux Court, will remained closed at least through Sunday. Recent and projected rains have caused concerns regarding rock fall and slope hazards in the area.
On Thursday, crews removed a large pine tree that loomed over the road as a result of the Wednesday night storm.

Drivers traveling south can detour from Lake Forrest Drive to Stewart Drive to Roswell Road, onto Maryanna Drive which will connect you back to Lake Forrest. Northbound motorists can take Maryanna Drive north to Roswell Road to Stewart Drive, connecting back with Lake Forrest.
The northbound Roswell Road lane closure at the Falls at Sandy Springs apartments will be in effect for the Friday morning commute.
