Dunwoody Police have arrested an Atlanta man for allegedly stealing a woman’s car at gunpoint Sunday, and authorities believe he is also responsible for a carjacking in Sandy Springs.

A woman was robbed Sunday evening at 4430 Tilly Mill Road (Chateau at Dunwoody) when three men approached the single female victim, stuck a gun to her back, and demanded she hand over her belongings. The woman handed over her purse.

The suspects then took the victim’s car keys from her purse and stole her vehicle, police said. Just before the Dunwoody armed robbery, the Sandy Springs Police Department responded to a carjacking with a similar description of the suspects.

The victim’s stolen vehicle and property from both the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody victims, as well as two handguns, were recovered at the scene.

The suspect, Marquez Hodge, 21, of Atlanta is charged by the Dunwoody Police Department with armed robbery and theft by taking a motor vehicle. He faces additional charges in both Sandy Springs and Atlanta. He is being held at the Fulton County Jail.
