A man and woman believed to be behind several thefts in metro Atlanta, including at least two in Sandy Springs, have been apprehended in a neighboring city.
Atlanta Police have arrested Cortez Benjamin, 47, and Cherie Miller, 34 and have charged both suspects with over 140 charges, including identity fraud and credit card theft, according to WSB-TV.
Sandy Springs police identified both suspects as a pair who were behind the theft of a woman's wallet last month at Atlanta Bread Company on Mount Vernon Highway. They were also suspected of dozens of similar thefts, including one that occurred on March 25 at La Madeleine Restaurant at 1165 Perimeter Center West.
Dunwoody police also suspected both Benjamin and Miller were behind a similar incident that occurred in its jurisdiction at Panera Bread on Olde Perimeter Way.
