Police arrested two 14-year-olds Monday after a Sandy Springs man said they pulled a gun in his driveway near Heards Ferry Road.
Police learned the teens are part of a residential therapy program in Warms Springs, Ga, run by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
The victim, who was not injured, told police the teens first approached him in his driveway asking for gas money. They sped off after he gave them $20, a police statement said.
Police later spotted the suspects fueling up the car at a Shell station on New Northside Drive near I-285. A third person was in the car, the statement said. Seeing the police, the three ran into the woods and crossed the interstate. Two were captured and arrested.
The vehicle was stolen from Pine Mountain, Ga., police said.
