Von Maur Shoplifting Suspect Pulls Gun

A shoplifting suspect pulled a gun on Von Maur security and a citizen in the Perimeter Mall parking lot, on Wednesday, police said. 

Dunwoody police was called to the department store after the alleged shoplifter fought with loss prevention officers and fled the store. The loss prevention officers and a concerned citizen chased the suspect into the parking lot, where he pulled out a handgun and pointed at them, a police statement said.

The male suspect is described as a black male, 18-25 years old, 5-foot-10  to 6-feet tall, weighing about 150-160 pounds.

The day of the incident, he was wearing a black Nike hoody, black pants, black and blue hat, light colored belt and green tennis shoes. He appeared to have a dark complexion and had small "twists" in his hair, according to police.

He was last seen running towards the Dunwoody MARTA Station on Perimeter Center Parkway.

The suspect was accompanied by two female suspects, who acted as lookouts, during the shoplifting incident, police said. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
