Woman Wanted by Police for Critical Injuries to Infant

Sandy Springs Police detectives were recently called to Children's Hospital of Atlanta, where the five-month-old was being treated

 

A 27-year-old woman is wanted for causing critical injury to a five-month-old child, according to Sandy Springs Police.

Detectives were recently called to Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, where the infant was being treated. A bulletin on the police website pictures Caris Ayala, who is considered a fugitive. She is wanted for First Degree Cruelty to Children.

Detectives spoke to Ayala before she went missing, the website says. She had agreed to turn herself into police through her attorney but later vanished.
