Wrong Way Driver Entered Ga. 400 Northridge Ramp, Northbound Traffic

The driver of the Dodge Intrepid was airlifted to Grady with critical injuries including burns from the fire that resulted from an accident.

 

Georgia 400 reopened before rush hour traffic, this morning. All northbound lanes were closed shortly after 2 a.m. due to an accident by a wrong way driver.

Sandy Springs Police said the accident occurred on the northbound exit ramp to Northridge Road. A male, whose name was withheld pending next of kin, was driving a Dodge Intrepid.

He entered the exit ramp from Ga. 400 north, a press statement said, and traveled the wrong way on the ramp entering northbound traffic. The motorist then struck a sweeper truck.
