Councilman Represents Sandy Springs in China

Appearing as Sandy Springs Mayor Pro Tem, Tibby Dejulio was a panel speaker, Tuesday, at the Third China Urban Development Forum on strategies for successful government.

 

City Councilman Tibby Dejulio was in Beijing China, this week, as Sandy Springs Mayor Pro Tem.

Dejulio was a panel speaker, Tuesday, at the Third China Urban Development Forum on strategies for successful government. The forum is hosted by China National TV.

During a talk to Leadership Sandy Springs members on Monday, Mayor Eva Galambos said, “Our reputation has spread to the point where the Chinese government [which] is trying to bring about more efficiency in their government, has called on Sandy Springs to come to Beijing.”

She added, “That is really economic development cache.”

The forum also includes heads of private industries, and ministry and commission leaders.

“The invitation is a tremendous honor for the City and testament to our success with the Public-Private model,” said DeJulio, in a statement before his trip. “I look forward to being a part of this exchange of ideas.”

As part of his trip, DeJulio met with Taicang City Mayor Wang Jianfeng. Taicang is an International Friendship City with Sandy Springs.
