Monday: Informational Meeting on Northridge Road/Ga. 400 Improvements

Plans for the Sandy Springs project include better signage on ramps and additional through lanes.

 

An open house on the Northridge Road/Ga. 400 project will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Monday at City Hall.

Project plans include better signage on the northbound exit ramp at Ga. 400, additional through lanes on Northridge Road, and enhancements at Dunwoody Place, Roberts Drive and Somerset Court. Improvements will likely take about two years.

The State Road and Tollway Authority will fund the project up to $7,000,000. The City of Sandy Springs would be responsible for costs beyond that amount. In mid-November the estimated cost of construction was approximately, $4,600,000.

City officials and representatives from the Georgia Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer questions and receive comments.

City Hall is located at 7840 Roswell Road. The open house will be held in Council Chambers in building 500.
