Former GDOT Engineer Fills Other Assistant City Manager Position

The city of Sandy Springs filled the position previously held by assistant city manager Noah Reiter, who resigned last fall

 

Sandy Springs has added an assistant city manager for infrastructure. Bryant Poole, former district engineer with the Georgia Department of Transportation, will fill the position vacated by , last fall.

Bryant had been with GDOT for 28 years.

“Bryant’s extensive background at [GDOT], especially in the areas of road construction, maintenance and safety aligns well with our continued efforts to improve infrastructure throughout the city,” said Sandy Springs city manager John McDonough, in a statement.

Poole will oversee efforts in the redevelopment of Sandy Springs’ downtown area and have oversight for the city’s Public Works and Capital Improvement Programs. Assistant City Manager Eden Freeman will continue to oversee support services and be the point of contact on municipal court, information services, human resources and grants management efforts for the city, the announcement said.
