Former Target Demolition Scheduled for Monday Despite Arctic Temps

The Sandy Springs demolition was scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday.

Neither rain, sleet, nor frigid temperatures will stop demolition plans scheduled for the former Target building in Sandy Springs this morning, said Sandy Springs spokesperson Sharon Kraun, in a statement.

Demolition was scheduled for 10 a.m. The Good Will facility will not be torn down as part of this phase.

The parking lot entrance at the former Target will be closed at the southwest corner of Sandy Springs Circle. The road will not be closed.

The tear down signals the official start of redevelopment in the Sandy Springs' downtown area.  The building rests in the heart of the City Center, with plans calling for a mix of office, retail, living and entertainment, along with a municipal complex and city green space.
