Gwinnett Tech is Back on the Table in Sandy Springs

The Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce is working with the city on a request for proposal that is due on July 1.

 

No doubt, many thought a Sandy Springs campus for Gwinnett Technical College was a dead deal. 

It’s back on the table as the school has jump-started its search for a North Fulton campus.

This time the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce is working with the city on a request for proposal that is due on July 1.

During the work session of Tuesday’s City Council meeting, Chamber chairman Rusty Paul said, “This time there is actually slightly over $25 million that has been set aside in bond funds that have been authorized by the General Assembly in the last session, for this particular campus.”

Seemingly, a small team has been searching for possible locations for a Sandy Springs campus. They have identified three that Paul would not disclose. Mayor Eva Galambos said one possible location is at Abernathy Road and Ga. 400.
