Lake Forrest Drive Reopens in Sandy Springs
A portion of the road between Lake Summit and Chevaux Court had been closed to both north and southbound traffic due to repairs since last sumer.

Lake Forrest Drive is now open. The City completed slope stabilization repairs one week ahead of schedule.
A geotechnical analysis conducted in late summer indicated long-term deterioration of the soil environment along the slope. Since 2009, the City received 13 work order requests related to mud/rock slides and trees down along Lake Forrest Drive with eight of those work orders occurring in 2013.
The slope stabilization project included installation of a structural catch system and vertical wall. The cost of the project was $750,000.
