Update: Neighborhood Roadwork to Last Two Weeks

The City of Sandy Springs is replacing a pipe culvert on Riverwood Drive.

On Wednesday, road construction starts on Riverwood Drive at River Shore Parkway to replace a large aging arch pipe culvert.

The construction is estimated to take two weeks and the road will be closed during this time. This closure should only affect those living in the neighborhood and will be easily circumvented.  The City of Sandy Springs has plotted a map of the closures at this link.

Separately, Georgia Department of Transportation will be paving in the area between Wright Road and Roswell Road for the remainder of this week.  There will be horizontal shifts in traffic as the lanes are paved. While traffic controls are in place to help facilitate flow, due to the volume of traffic that runs through that area, slow-downs and back-ups are expected.
