Roswell Road Bridge Construction set to Begin This Summer

Georgia Power has started relocating utilities. That will be followed by utility relocation by Comcast and AT&T.

Bridge-widening construction on Roswell Road at I-285 could begin in early July.

The Georgia Department of Transportation awarded C.W. Matthews the $3.5 million construction contract.

The construction project is to include widening on the northbound side of the bridge. There will also be two 11-foot wide northbound and southbound travel lanes; and 11-foot wide dedicated left turn lanes onto the entrance ramps for I-285. Entrance ramps for I-285 will be enhanced.

Weather permitting; work should be complete by Oct. 2012.
