Roundabouts For The I-285-Riverside Drive Interchange?

The Georgia Department of Transportation and Sandy Springs will hold a public input meeting on the proposed interchange's safety project.

The city of Sandy Springs will join forces with the Georgia Department of Transportation to host a public open house on proposed improvements for the Interstate 285 at Riverside Drive interchange. 

The open house will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 at Sandy Springs City Hall.

No formal presentation will be held, but residents will have a chance to pose questions to representatives of GDOT about the proposed project.

The proposal includes replacing the two existing signalized intersections at each ramp at Riverside Drive with roundabouts. Each approach to the roundabout will be widened to two lanes, with one lane entering the roundabout and the other serving as the right turn lane. 

A five-foot sidewalk will be added to both sides of the roadway along Riverside Drive within the limits of the project.
