Sandy Springs Bridge Project Will Affect Weekend Traffic

Up to three lanes will be closed on I-285 on the north side of Atlanta this weekend as contractors continue work on the Roswell Road and Ashford Dunwoody Road bridge projects. The Georgia Department of Transportation is warning motorists that these lane closures could cause heavy delays in and around the project areas.

Cobb, 3 a.m. till 9 p.m., Saturday

I-285 SB, at MP 14.01 (Chattahoochee River), two outside lanes closed for slab replacement.

Fulton,  9 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday to Monday

I-285 EB, between MP 24 (Riverside Parkway) to MP 25 (Roswell Road), double outside lanes closed for bridge construction.

DeKalb, 10 p.m. to midnight, continuous, Friday to Sunday

I-285 WB, from MP 29.7 to MP 29 (Ashford Dunwoody Road), double outside lanes closed daytime and triple outside lanes closed night time for heat straightening beams.
