Sandy Springs Council of Neighborhoods to Hold Forum on New Downtown Project

Boston-based Goody Clancy has been selected to redevelop downtown.

 

The Sandy Springs Council of Neighborhoods will hold a Town Hall meeting, Thursday, for ideas and feedback on the redevelopment of downtown and the new Town Center.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., at Sandy Springs City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road, building 500.

Boston-based Goody Clancy has been selected to develop downtown. During last week’s City Council meeting, Goody Clancy completed master plans or downtown revitalization projects in several cities, such as Norfolk, Va., New Orleans, West Savannah, Chattanooga, and Greenville, S.C.

An announcement by the Sandy Springs Council of Neighborhoods said the Town Hall forum includes long-time residents and active community members, who have agreed to share their thoughts and vision for the city.

Other attendees will also have an opportunity to speak.

Sandy Springs Council of Neighborhoods is a strong and knowledgeable advocacy organization established to support the single-family and condominium neighborhoods of Sandy Springs. It continually strives to maintain a high quality of residential life for the residents of the city. The Council is an all volunteer group of Homeowner and Condo Association Officers that pools its knowledge of local regulations, policies and key contacts. It works with elected officials, citizens, community organizations, developers and businesses to keep Sandy Springs' neighborhoods strong and vibrant.
