Sandy Springs Leaders To Discuss Performing Arts Center

The City Council will hear from representatives from Johnson Consulting, who will present an overview of their findings from a market feasibility study on adding a performing arts center to its City Center Master Plan.

A proposed performing arts center and meeting facility will be the topic of a special-called meeting of the Sandy Springs City Council next week.

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 in the Council Chambers at Sandy Springs City Hall, located at 7840 Roswell Road Building 500.

During the work session, representatives from Johnson Consulting will give an overview of their findings from a market feasibility study commissioned by the council to explore options for a performing arts center as part of the its City Center Master Plan.

Before that meeting, the council will tour two performing arts center in the metro Atlanta area. 

The purpose of the tour, which will start at 1 p.m., is to provide the City Council with examples of performing arts facilities as the city considers adding performing arts capacity to the proposed City Center.
