Sandy Springs Opens Door for Sunday Alcohol Sales
On Tuesday, Sandy Springs City Council approved a referendum allowing residents to vote on Sunday alcohol sales.
Sandy Springs City Council approved a resolution to put Sunday alcohol sales on the November ballot.
Mayor Eva Galambos had previously expressed concerns about the cost to the city of placing the referendum on the ballot. But city attorney Wendall Willard appears confident that it will be manageable.
During the Tuesday City Council Meeting, Willard asked Council to continue the resolution understanding that he and City Manager John McDonough will inform Council when they obtain the final figure and they are satisfied to move forward.
