Sandy Springs Publisher On Defensive After Obama 'Hit' Remark

Fallout continues as last week's editorial goes viral all over the globe.


Fallout from the Sandy Springs-based Atlanta Jewish Times editorial that suggested a 'hit' on President Barack Obama continues.

On Friday, Publisher Andrew Adler apologized for writing that Israeli security forces in the United States should  “take out” the president. Adler stated the president was not a supporter of the Jewish state.

At the same time, Adler said he wrote the Jan. 13, 2012, column to "get a reaction" from his readers.

The column was picked up first by Gawker. The op-ed gone viral since its publication, with international publications such as Albawaba picking up the item. Haaretz has opined that Adler's sentiment is shared by others.
