Sandy Springs Will Test Emergency Alert System on Wednesday

The test of Sandy Springs' CodeRed alert system will occur sometime between 10:30 a.m. and noon July 23.

The city of Sandy Springs on Wednesday will be testing its CodeRed alert system.

The test will occur sometime between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Residents or business owners who've registered to receive alerts will receive the test notification. 

CodeRed is used to alert residents in the case of severe weather, and can be used for other notifications such as evacuations or Amber Alerts, etc.
