Sandy Springs will hold another public input meeting on a new downtown area, this month.
Goody Clancy consultants, hired by Sandy Springs to create a downtown master plan, will have presentations of preliminary ideas. As with previous community meetings, break-out groups will be held for public feedback.
In August, during a meeting with the Economic Development Advisory Committee, David Dixon and Ben Carlson of Goody Clancy suggested mixed-use developments covering 25 to 40 acres. That would include 600-1,000 housing units. Additionally, 40 to 50 housing units per acre is suggested, costing $1 million-$1.5 million per acre, they said.

The upcoming meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Sept. 19, at City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road.
