Upcoming Meetings Include Councilman's Town Hall, Downtown Project

Sandy Springs and master planning firm Goody Clancy will hold the next public input meetings on the redevelopment of downtown, June 25-27.

 

Sandy Springs City Councilman John Paulson will hold a town hall meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, on several topics including the proposed Mount Vernon/Spalding intersection improvement project, redevelopment of downtown Sandy Springs, and the city budget. 

The meeting will be held at Brandon Hall School, 1701 Brandon Hall Drive.

Other upcoming meetings include the regular Sandy Springs City Council meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday at City Hall.

Also, next week, Sandy Springs and master planning firm will hold the next on the downtown project, over the course of three days, at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, in the Media Center, 510 Mount Vernon Highway.

  • An evening workshop will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Monday, June 25 and address characteristics driving housing demand in Sandy Springs, and retail design strategies. 
  • Morning and evening sessions will be held from 7:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, June 26. Attendees will work in small groups to map a specific vision for Sandy Springs’ downtown. [Both sessions will cover the same agenda.]
  • A daylong session will be held from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, in which, the Goody Clancy team will be available to answer questions. Team members will have an informal presentation using community feedback so far. Presentations will be made at 9 and 11 a.m.; also 1, 3 and 5 p.m.
