Tabula Rasa, which operates under a lease at the site, had sought a use permit from the City of Sandy Spring to increase enrollment to 150 students and construct 10,000 square feet of building space. That effort was put on hold.

The owner of Tabula Rasa language school would like to buy the Church of St. Andrew property where it’s located on Riverside Drive.

“Purchasing of the property would be contingent upon this being able to move forward so that she knows she can get the entitlement that she’s seeking under this application,” said Pete Hendricks, Besa Tarazi’s attorney, during Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

Tabula Rasa, which operates under a lease at the site, had sought a use permit from the City of Sandy Springs to increase enrollment to 150 students and construct 10,000 square feet of building space. That effort was put on hold when the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta informed Tarazi that the church may soon close. St. Andrew has experienced a decrease in membership and attendance.
