The awards recognize 30 PreK-12 educators from across the country who are using digital media in unique ways, in key areas, a PBS statement said.

In Sasson’s project that was submitted for award review, students used technology in a variety of ways to explore contributions that Israel has made to society ranging from agriculture to technology, medicine, arts, science, environment, fashion and more, an Esptein School statement said. Students worked collaboratively to research and present one of Israel’s Innovations.

“I appreciate this recognition and I am grateful that as a result, I will now have the opportunity to participate in a week-long ‘Innovation Immersion Experience’ at The Henry Ford in Michigan this summer,” said Sasson. “I am also excited that through the student’s projects, Israel’s innovative character, which was at the core of the winning entry, will receive attention too.”
