Former Hawk to Run NBA Camp for Kids

Dwight Howard and Josh Howard will drop in for the three-day camp hosted by former Atlanta Hawk Josh Powell from Jul 27 to July 29.


Up and coming Sandy Springs basketball players will be interested in former Atlanta Hawk Josh Powell's summer basketball camp.

Powell will hold the the camp at Dunwoody High School's gym from July 27-29.

The three-day camp is open to both boys and girls from 8 to 18-years-old. The cost is $100 per child.

Local coaches, including DHS basketball coach Adam Griffin, will be running drills and stations at the camp.

Invited guests and NBA players who will drop in at the camp include Dwight Howard, Marques Daniels, Josh Howard and Jamal Crawford.

Powell, a former player at N.C. State, played the 2010-11 season for the Hawks.
