Riverwood seniors Alexis Baile, Mae Davis, Ammar Haque and India Smith have received four year, full tuition scholarships from the Posse Foundation.
According to its website, Posse identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes. During their college studies, students are placed on supportive, multicultural teams—Posses—of 10 students.
Posse Scholars graduate at a rate of 90 percent and make a visible difference on campus and throughout their professional careers, its website says.
Alexis Bailey and Ammar Haque will attend Texas A&M. Mae Davis and India Smith will attend Boston University.
