Parents of Fulton County students who may be impacted by a slew of middle school additions may want to attend a meeting held by the school district next week.
Fulton County Schools will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 2 at Alpharetta High School. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. in the school's cafeteria.
Alpharetta High School is located at 3595 Webb Bridge Road.
The new middle school building additions are being funded by the district's eSPLOST, its one-penny educational sales tax.
Schools impacted by the additions are Autrey Mill, Hopewell, Sandy Springs and Taylor Road middle schools. The additions are slated to open in August 2015, and will alleviate overcrowding at the schools.
District officials will share trends in facility design and discuss how each of the schools' leadership plan to use the additions.
The meeting format will include a discussion and presentation of concept designs. Staff also will be available to discuss the concepts and to gather feedback for further consideration.
