Why go: See top rhythmic gymnasts from around the world compete in this Olympic sport that combines the strength of gymnastics, the beauty and expression of dance, flexibility, and the use of a ribbon, ball, rope and hoop.

- BASKETBALL 5-AAA REGION TOURNAMENT
When/Where: Through Saturday at , 5900 Raider Drive NW
Why go: Support high school basketball in Sandy Springs with both North Springs Charter High School and Riverwood International Charter School playing in the 5-AAA Region Tournament. Don’t miss the championship games on Saturday with girls at 7 p.m. and boys at 8:30 p.m.

Why go: This free national award-winning two-hour course is offered by the Sandy Springs Police Department to to help parents and their new (or soon to be) teen drivers, ages 14-16, learn what they need to do during the 40 hours of supervised practice driving time required by Georgia law. Rather than a technical hands-on driver training course, this program addresses driver attitude, knowledge and behavior of both the parent and new teen driver.
