North Springs High School Stages Two Versions of 'The Odd Couple'

The male and female versions will be performed at the Sandy Springs high school on alternate nights, so theatergoers don't have to miss either one. Tickets to the alternate version are half price.

 

North Springs Charter High School drama students perform two versions of Neil Simon’s classic, The Odd Couple, Jan. 24-Feb. 2.

The will perform Simon’s original 1965 classic and his 1985 contemporary female remake.

The original male version stars mismatched roommates divorced slob, Oscar Madison, and his newly separated, clean-freak best friend, Felix Unger. The female version has Florence Unger and Olive Madison in the starring roles. Instead of Oscar and Felix’s poker party, this version begins with girl friends playing Trivial Pursuit.

Both will be performed on alternate nights, so theatergoers don’t have to miss either one. Tickets to the alternate version are half price.

Tickets: $15 adults, $10 students/seniors and $5/Thursday Student Night can be purchased online at www.showtix4u.com and at the box office one hour prior to each show. For the alternate version, bring ticket stub to on site box office to purchase half- price ticket. This offer excludes Thursday’s Student Night.

Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday –Saturday on Jan. 24, 25, 26, 31, and February 1-2, with matinees at 2 p.m. on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2. The Jan. 24 opening performance beings with  the female Odd Couple followed by the male Odd Couple on Jan. 25.
