North Springs Students and Sandy Springs Rotary Dedicate a Peace Pole

Students dedicated a Rotary International peace pole. North Springs is the first school in Sandy Springs to have a peace pole and the site will be included in Atlanta Peace Trails.

Last Friday, the North Springs Interact Club, Sandy Springs Rotary, students and guests dedicated a Rotary International Peace Pole on the school's grounds.

Through song, dance and spoken word, students shared the meaning of the Nobel Words of Peace and said the words "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in each of the eight languages inscribed on the pole.

Sandy Springs Rotary, an education partner with North Springs Charter High School has long supported the school's Youth Interact Club. Friday was chosen to coincide with World Interact Week and the school's International Night Celebration.
