Photos: Woodland Elementary Holds First Annual 5K Run

More than 450 participants met at the North Springs High School track for the first annual Sandy Springs Sprint 5K Family Fun Run/Walk, last Saturday.

Woodland Elementary fifth graders Audrey O’Toole and Jack Makowski are the first girl and boy to cross the finish line in their school's first annual Sandy Springs Sprint 5K Family Fun Run/Walk, last Saturday. 

More than 450 participants met at the North Springs High School track at sunrise. Coby Miller, an Olympic silver medal recipient, was guest host for the event. 

Participants ran from North Springs High School, down Spalding Drive to Woodland Elementary School, and then returned to North Springs.

Meg Seever was first teacher to finish the race. Seever teaches fifth grade at Woodland.
