Recovering Teen is Not a North Springs Student

The 16-year-old was struck by a part of the vehicle that connects to the side of the windshield, and didn't take a direct impact to the midsize car.

 

The Fulton Science Academy student who was hit by a car while crossing the street on Friday did not suffer serious head injuries, according to Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose.

Rose said the 16-year-old was struck by a part of the vehicle that connects to the side of the windshield, and didn’t take a direct impact to the midsize car.

The teen was walking in the crosswalk on Roswell Road at Dalrymple, about 5 p.m., when the accident occurred. The driver, who was heading south on Roswell Road, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
