Riverwood Basketball Star Recrutied by Wingate University

Jamahl Davis, 17, of Sandy Springs is the son of Shonae Jacobs, and grandson of Willette Jacobs.

 

Riverwood basketball player Jamahl Davis has committed to play basketball at Wingate University, in Wingate N.C. He was recruited as a point guard.

At Riverwood, Jamahl was team captain, MVP, Raider Athlete of the Month, and Neighbor Athlete of the Month. He averaged 16 points, 4.5 assists and 2 steals per game, making 1st Team All-Region.

“In Jamahl, Wingate is getting a true point guard and floor leader," said Riverwood Coach Buck Jenkins, in a statement. "Jamahl is a player that is as comfortable making big shots as he is creating easy opportunities for his teammates to score. He was a pleasure to coach and I look forward to watching his continued development at Wingate University.”
