Riverwood Student Performs at State Theater Conference

The Sandy Springs student has performed in numerous Riverwood performances. The Georgia Thespian Conference was held over the weekend, in Columbus Ga.

Riverwood International Charter High School senior Evy Mitchell was one of 50 high school thespians across the state to perform at the Georgia Thespian Conference, over the weekend, in Columbus Ga.

Georgia Thespians is a chapter of the Education Theatre Association and aims to encourage and celebrate theater excellence, and build leadership throughout the state of Georgia in schools and communities. Thespian troupes are chartered in public and private schools nationwide. A student can be inducted into a local Thespian troupe after earning 10 points - the equivalent of 100 hours working in school, community, and/or professional theater, both on and behind the stage.

Mitchell has acted in numerous Riverwood performances including Neil Simon’s "Rumors," The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," and "Les Miserables."
