Six Riverwood Students to Participate in Governor's Honors Program

72 students from Sandy Springs' Riverwood International Charter School were nominated.

 

Four juniors and two sophomores at Riverwood International Charter School have been selected as Finalists for the 2012 Georgia Governor's Honors Program, a summer residential instructional program for intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students.   

The is fully funded by the Georgia Department of Education and takes place on the campus of Valdosta State University.

Seventy-two Riverwood students were nominated, 16 students were selected as Semi-finalists, and 6 have been selected as Finalists. Nationwide, more than 14,000 students were nominated.
