North Springs Principal to Resign

A letter to parents said a personally challenging year led to the Sandy Springs principal's decision

Dr. Lisa Stueve, principal of North Springs Charter High School, plans to resign in June.

A letter to parents, faculty and the community from Governance Board chairman Michael Granish said a personally challenging year led to Stueve’s decision. Her mother died a few weeks ago. In the near term, she plans to take care of her father and focus on her daughter’s high school graduation and first year of college, the letter said.

Stueve was hired in 2008. According to Granish, Fulton County Schools hopes to find a new principal by May, who Stueve can help settle in.

Parents and faculty will have some input on a new candidate through a survey on leadership qualities and school priorities.
