Speed Racers: Photos and Standings From the Sandy Springs Cycling Challenge

The annual event and festivities was held Sunday on Sandy Springs Circle.

 

Carlos Alzate of Team Exergy won the Global Imports Sandy Springs Cycling Challenge, Sunday, and garnered the overall top spot for the USA Crits Speed Week series.

On the women’s side, Joanne Kiesanowski withTeam TIBCO won the Cycling Challenge pro women’s race. And Erica Allar with RIDECLEAN/PatentIt.com was no. 1 among women in the Speed Week series.

The Global Imports Sandy Sprrings Cycling Challenge capped nine days of intense racing in seven southeast cities beginning in Athens, Ga. and culminated in Sandy Springs. The top men’s and women’s professional elite teams are competing for $150,000 in prizes.
