Winter Gymnastics at Hammond Park Starts Next Week

Sandy Springs' Hammond Park is a draw for gymnastics.

 

Winter gymnastics at Hammond Park starts Jan. 2 and runs through March 26. 2012.

Children as young as 18-months can enroll in the 12-week session.

Husband and wife, Gennadiy and Ina Korshunov are a highlight of the gymnastics program. The two have coached Olympic gymnasts and champions including Yelena Davydova, who won gold medals in the all-around individual and team competition for the former Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics.

The annual registration fee for the gymnastics program is $25 for Fulton County Residents; and $35 for folks outside of Fulton County. The fee extends through summer 2012.

For a full list of classes see the winter gymnastics schedule at http://www.sandyspringsga.gov/gymnastics. The first fee on the schedule represents costs for Fulton County residents, the second is for non-Fulton residents.
