Teen Librarian Gets a Mohawk Cut After Students Meet Reading Challenge

A Sandy Springs librarian challenged 60 middle and high school students to read five books by August 1, and they did. He gets his haircut at noon Saturday.

Marlan Brinkley challenged 60 middle and high school students to read five books by August 1st. The deal was if they succeeded, Brinkley would get a Mohawk haircut. Well, the students completed their reading challenge by July 21st, a media announcement said.

At noon, Saturday, Brinkley will receive his haircut from Children’s Librarian, Shannon Duffy.  A stylist from Van Michael Salon will also be there.

The public is welcome to attend.
