Humane Society Puts Labrador-Retriever Mix Up for Adoption

This social young dog would benefit from structure and obedience classes, though he's mastered basic commands already.

Six-month-old Archie has been at the since he was a small puppy. He originally came to our shelter in March and was a transfer from a shelter in Alabama. This black Labrador retriever mix has been patiently waiting for his chance to upgrade from shelter living to a real home with a family who loves him. He is currently 32 pounds with some growing to do and will probably only be about zero pounds full grown.

Archie is sweet, social and always eager to please, but he would also benefit from structure and obedience training classes. He has begun learning commands and had recently mastered sit, stay and lay down. Archie is a smart boy with a strong desire to learn. Throughout his time here, Archie has learned polite leash skills and is very social with people and other dogs. In fact, he LOVES playing with other dogs and would do great in a house with other animals.

In anticipation of that day he has been vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, micro-chipped and tested negative for heartworms.
