Pet of the Week: Mickey Needs to Run and Play

Originally from Alabama, Mickey came to the Atlanta Humane Society in December of 2011. He was hoping to find a family who could love him forever but unfortunately his first home was not a great match since this beautiful boy is full of energy. Consequently he came back to the North Fulton campus, which serves Sandy Springs, and is once again looking for a home.

Mickey is a six month old, Labrador mix with a beautiful tuxedo coat. Currently he only weighs 34 pounds but loves to run and play like a grown dog. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard and with a family who is committed to playing and running with him daily. Mickey enjoys the company of other dogs and would love to meet any dog family members you have!

Mickey is still young and would benefit from training classes which would provide a great opportunity to bond with him while teaching him how to be a well-mannered adult dog. While in his puppy learning stage Mickey would probably do best in a home with older children. He is a sweet boy with a loving personality who is just waiting for the right family to see what a great addition he could be to their family.

Mickey has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, micro-chipped and dewormed in anticipation of finding his new family.
