Recyclng Center Takes Bulky Trash and Yard Waste Through Sunday

There's still time to gather up old appliances and yard waste for the Sandy Springs Recycling Center.

Along with grass clippings and smaller tree branches, the recycling center will receive large items, such as mattresses and refirigerators. See the list below.

"Bulky Trash and Yard Waste Week" runs 10 a.m.-3 p.m., through Sunday. The Sandy Springs Recycling Center is located at 470 Morgan Falls Road.

Items Accepted:

• Broken, unusable furniture
• Carpet, rugs
• Household Construction & Demolition Materials, such as sheet rock, window glass, lumber, wood, old cabinets, doors, residential remodeling debris

• Mattresses
• Scrap metal or metal items
• Stoves/Washers/Dryers

• Refrigerators
• Yard Debris such as shrubbery, grass clipping, leaves, & limbs less than 4’ in length or 4” in diameter

Do not bring:

• Paint
• Household Hazardous Waste
• Fluids Including Motor Oil & Anti-Freeze
• Household Garbage
• Tires
• Concrete, bricks, rock, dirt, sand, or crossties
• Stumps, tree trunks, limbs greater than 4’ in length or 4” in diameter
