Rotary Club of Sandy Springs Awards Scholarship to North Springs Grad

The $5,000 college scholarship is awarded to students that exhibit exemplary scholarship, community service involvement and a "Service Above Self" attitude.

 

 

Last week, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs awarded the Dan Keels Scholarship to Jaclyn Turner, a North Springs Charter High School graduate.

The Dan Keels Scholarship Award is named in memory of Dan Keels, a former member of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs. The $5,000 college scholarship is awarded to students that exhibit exemplary scholarship, community service involvement and a “Service Above Self” attitude.

Turner plans to attend the University of Maryland this fall where she will be studying American Studies and Journalism. At the presentation during the luncheon, Ms. Turner was accompanied by her parents,  Carole and Stanley Turner, and Dr. Lisa Stueve, principal of North Springs Charter High School.
