Sandy Springs Festival Includes Fun, History and Helpful Information

Not only does the festival feature more than 600 artists, crafters, entertainers and vendor... Wilkins Parkinson's Foundation will have a Parkinson's Awareness Booth.

There is something for every member of the family at the Sandy Springs Festival, this year.

Not only does this weekend's festival feature more than 600 artists, crafters, entertainers and vendors but you can also enjoy a 5K or 10K run, learn about Sandy Springs and the Civil War at an interactive Civil War encampment, and bring your pets out for the annual Kiwanis Pet Parade.

For the second year, Wilkins Parkinson’s Foundation will have a Parkinson’s Awareness Booth.

In addition to members of Wilkins Parkinson’s Foundation, the Georgia chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association and Team Cantore, a fundraising team for Parkinson’s research will man the booth.

Their goal is to provide festival-goers with resources, research, patient care and awareness.

The Wilkins Parkinson’s Foundation is dedicated to funding programs to raise awareness of Parkinson’s Disease. Increased awareness creates a groundswell of support for the entire Parkinson’s community, said Rebecca Gostin, in a press statement.

Sandy Springs Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
