Sweet, Gentle Lil' Momma Needs a Forever Home

Pet of the week for Sandy Springs residents: The shepherd mix was brought back to the shelter when her owner relocated and couldn't take her along.

Originally from Alabama, Lil’ Momma came all the way to the Atlanta Humane Society because her owner had too many animals and could no longer care for them all. Later she was adopted from AHS but, unfortunately, was returned to us in February when her owner relocated and could not bring her along. Lil’ Momma is a sweet, gentle girl who would really like to settle permanently with a great family who sees how wonderful she is.

Lil’ Momma loves to be around people and would make a good dog for anybody. She is a 5-year-old shepherd mix and is medium sized at 45 pounds. Since she is an adult she has calmed down from her puppy days and walks well on a leash. She does still like to play and will run around in the play yards for exercise time. Mostly though Lil’ Momma enjoys the companionship of people and would supply lots of company and love to her forever family.
