Monday Essentials: Food Events, Public Safety and More in Week Ahead

  • Open Mic at Steve’s Live Music. Admission is $3. 7:30-11 p.m., Monday. 234 Hildebrand Drive. 
  • Eight-Course Chili Pepper Dinner at 5 Seasons. The restaurant says they source from local farmers and purveyors, and grow some produce and herbs on site. 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the Prado, 5600 Roswell Road. 
  • Police Host Children’s Safety Class. The class is free for children 8-12 years old. 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at the Davis Academy, 8105 Roberts Drive.  
  • Clean Air Campaign Telework Summit. The event runs in conjunction with the fourth annual Georgia Telework Week. The free summit will provide new ideas and guidance for employers looking to implement a telework program, tune up their existing program or expand on the success of their current efforts. 8 a.m., Thursday, Crowne Plaza Ravinia, 3 Ravina Drive, Suite 100.
  • Toastmasters Weekly Meeting. Northwest Perimeter Toastmasters meets at noon, Wednesdays, at One Concourse Parkway, Suite 140. Attendees network personally and professionally while developing communication and leadership skills.
