Monday Essentials: Ballet Auditions and More in the Week Ahead

Tuesday evening networking event, Sandy Springs City Council meeting and other events are going on, this week.

 

  • City Council Meeting. The first public hearing will be held on the FY2014 Budget. 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sandy Springs City Hall.
  • Tuned-Up Tuesdays. Sponsored by the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce, local businesses open their doors to feature their cuisine and beverages, fun activities, door prize drawings, tours of member businesses, and of course -- lots of networking. These networking events give attendees the opportunity to mingle with other busy professionals while supporting the honored host and learning more about their company. 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Movin’ Groovin’ Mornings. The children’s series will be held every Wednesday morning in June from 10 a.m to 11am. Designed for children ages 3 to 10, the event offers fun and engaging activities for kids to spend their summer mornings. The creative and interactive activities include dance, music, storytelling, puppets, and even science experiments. Free. Heritage Green on the Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn, 6110 Bluestone Road.
  • Kiwanis Meeting. Kiwanis meet the first and third Thursday of the month from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. at Egg Harbor Café. The lunch event includes a speaker.
  • Sandy Springs Ballet auditions. Ages 11-26 for apprentice, pre-professional and professional programs can audition from 1-5 p.m., Friday-Sunday at The Bush Centre for Ballet.
